Images are graphical pieces of content; you add them by selecting Image from the drop-down list.

When you add an image, the name of the content changes to the file of the image. So, if

you upload an image called photo.gif, it’ll be accessible in Plone as photo.gif. When adding or uploading a new image, you can select the image from your hard drive by clicking the Browse button and selecting the file.
